Cookie is a text file that is saved in the user's computer (or mobile device) browser when accessing the official website of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Communications of the Belarusian State University https://fsc.bsu.by/ (hereafter referred to as the website) and is used to store user activity. Thus, eliminating the necessity to select the same preferences (e.g. when selecting a language) over again.

The purpose of cookie processing is to ensure the convenience of website users and improve its operating quality.

Belarusian State University does not transfer cookies to any third-parties and does not use them to identify personal data subjects.

They are necessary for the normal operation of certain areas of the website management system, and also allow distributing the workload on the servers, in order to ensure the security and protection of the website. Cookies in this category include both session files and persistent cookies. Without these files, the website's management system does not function properly or does not work at all.

The proper functioning of the website is possible only when operational cookies are used. If they are disabled, the user may need to re-select their cookie preferences, as the versions of the pages for the visually impaired may be displayed incorrectly.

Disabling analytics cookies makes it impossible to determine the preferences of the website's users, including the most and least viewed pages, and to take measures to improve the website based on user preferences.

4. In addition to the cookie settings on the website, personal data subjects can accept or reject the collection of all or some cookies in their browser settings.

Some browsers offer to view webpages in the "Incognito mode", thus allowing to limit the amount of information stored on the user's computer and automatically delete session cookies. Besides, the personal data subject can delete previously stored cookies by selecting the appropriate option in the browser history.
