About

Education:

1987 ­– graduated the Minsk State Art College named after A.K.Glebov (specialty “Drawing & technical drawing teaching”).

1993 – graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Arts with a degree in design (was a student of O.V. Chernyshev, N.K. Makhnach).

Work and professional activity:

Kovsh N. began her career as an art teacher at Minsk’s secondary school No. 140. Following her graduation from the Belarusian Academy of Arts, she worked as an artist-designer in the editorial office of the newspaper “Sovetskaya Belorussia” (“Soviet Belorussia”) before moving on to work for the private printing company “Orekh.” From 2000 till 2019, Kovsh N. was employed as a computer graphics designer at Altiora, a private printing company (Altiora-Living Colors, Altiora Forte).

She created unique print layouts for a range of organizations and establishments, such as “Spartak”, “Polesie”, “Gefest”, “Belintourist”, “Dipservice”, “Eximgarant of Belarus”, “Belarusbank”, “Bel- neftestrakh”, “Belexpo”, “Milavitsa”, “Kupalinka”, “Minskstroy”, “BELAZ”, etc. She collaborated with UNICEF, UN offices in Belarus, the Belarusian Hygiene Center, and the public organization “Children are not for violence.”

Kovsh N. was awarded second-degree diplomas in the republican competition “Book Crafts” for the design of the Belarusbank calendar “Through the pages of the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus” and for the Belexpo desk calendar in 2002 and 2005, respectively.

Since September 2019, she has been working as a teacher at the Department of Communicative Design of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Communications, BSU.

Design engineering, graphic design, design methodology, pedagogy.
